We don't think you're good Americans or good DC people. And why are we as a country allowing it and paying for it big time? I'm ashamed, almost ashamed to be a part of this country for right now. It's a waste of our time. None of this has to do with crime or public safety. This is all about government overreach to see how far this particular administration can go in using their power, using their fascist methods in order to control people. I'm really pissed both at the feds. I'm really pissed at MPD for being complicit. This is awful. I don't feel safer. I don't feel like it's doing any good. It's divisive. It's really harming the community in so many different ways, economically, psychologically. It's really traumatic. And I wish it would stop. Because I don't know how you tell if somebody is or is not an American. It's a guise for racial profiling and it's bullshit. I mean, I do not feel safe. This does not make me feel safer. I don't know how you tell if somebody is or is not an American. My name is Carolyn Wilson. I'm a native Washingtonian, and I feel that this is an invasion of our city. It is totally unnecessary. We have done, I feel, a sufficient job. We can use some help. A sufficient job of curbing the crime in this city. And this is a waste of taxpayer money. Another illegal U-turn! Where's your fucking ticket book for the illegal U-turns that just happened? Where the fuck are they? Where are your fucking ticket books for these fuckers who just did illegal U-turns in the middle of a thoroughfare? Fucking bullshit! Safety in my ass! Don't hit the bus! Bullshit, it's over! There's a kid who calls the tiger. Remember, we don't think you're good Americans or good D.C. people. What'd he say? Yeah! This isn't us. This is not supposed to be us. I know our society is going through a lot of trouble right now. We seem to have a bit of ripped fabric. But at least we can still try to be decent to people. And this is going too damn far. You know, most people in America probably don't understand what's going on here. And yeah, they're not shooting people, but you know what? Neither were we before these bootlickers and jackthuds showed up. If we have to come to that, which I hope we never do, you know, we've got to avoid it. Because that'll be worse. And to think that it won't get worse, when it keeps getting worse, people need to come out. People need to speak up. I'm a resident right around the corner. They're blocking off access to our streets so people can't avoid the checkpoint. Several weeks ago, there was another checkpoint that was right outside of our house. But they didn't have ICE with them. It was just the MPD. So I don't know if it was like a test. But tonight they brought ICE with them. I mean, look around. I mean, everybody's out here just shocked and appalled, I think. I mean, I think it's making everyone feel unsafe. I'm privileged. I'm lucky as hell that 15 sixteenths of me is white. I could walk down the street. I could drive down this street every single day that I do. I don't get stopped by these, you know, unpatriotic, unethical bootlickers. So there's that issue. There's the issue of I don't want my tax dollars going to this. If Bowser thinks this is such a great thing to be doing as mayor, she needs to like take a look at what's in her pants and grow a set of something. Or in her shirt. Because this is not what her district, her constituents have asked her for. I don't think a single person in DC has. Maybe those cops have because they want to get some overtime. Or they just like to go out clubbing. But this is not what we as DC residents want. To have this many people in a single block radius, stopping people whose tags are Virginia tags and mostly black people. I mean, we have a 34 count convicted felon in the White House. Why is he doing this? And why are we as a country allowing it? And we're paying for it. And paying for it. Big time. Big time. I'm ashamed, almost ashamed to be a part of this country for right now.
